Weekly Announcements September 26-30, 2016

  • Are you looking for a place where you can hang out with friends and talk about things like faith? Come to Christians in Action, also known as CIA, on Tuesday mornings in room 125. 8-3 magnet students meet at 7:30am, and everyone else meets at 8:15a. Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there!
  • If you have any information regarding any crime please contact Deputy Salinas, text "CLEARTIPS" plus your message and campus to 274637 (CRIMES) or call 281-284-TIPS. All information related to any reported crime will remain anonymous. Remember Crime Stoppers program offers CASH rewards to those who help catch the criminals.
  • Character Trait of the Week: Respect. When showing respect for others (parents, teachers, friends, even those we don't know) you are setting a good example for those watching you. They just might follow in your actions. 
  • Some of our SIS Students attend High School Football games at our district's stadiums. "When attending the high school football games, all students are expected to sit in the stands and watch the game from there. You should only leave the stands to go to the restroom and concession stand. Please be respectful of others who are watching the game with you, by not running or chasing each other and throwing or playing football."
  • Students, don't forget to start working on your Reflections Entry.  There are several categories to choose from: Dance, Literature, Film Production, Photography, Visual Arts, Music Compostion...so many ways to express your story! Entry forms are in the  front office and are due to Mrs. Oliver by October 21.
  • Congratulations to the members of the Seabrook orchestras who played the National Anthem for the Houston Astros game on Sunday, 9/25. They sounded amazing at Minute Maid Park! They had a great time and Mrs. Hess is very proud of the completely awesome display of character from the Super Seabrook Spartans!
  • Cherrydale items will arrive on Tuesday 9/27. They will be delivered to students' advisories. If you have more than 10 items to take home you will need to be picked up from school. You will only be allowed to take one bag of items on the bus.
  • 7th Grade Football will be played on Tuesday 9/27. A Team will be at Bayside. B Team will be at SIS. Games begin at 4:45pm
  • 8th Grade Football (both A & B Teams)  will be played on Wednesday, 9/28 at CCISD Challenger Stadium. Games against Bayside will begin at 4:45pm. 
  • Volleyball will be played on Thursday 9/29. 7th Grade will be at Bayside. 8th Grade will be at CFHS. Games begin at 5pm
  • Interested in joining the Tech Club? Information is now online on the Library Home Page. Applications are due by September 29. See Mrs. Irvine for details.
  • Spartan Spirit Shirts are being sold in the library during lunch on Fridays only. Tshirts are $15 and sweatshirts are $20.
  • We still have students that have not turned in their proof of residency forms. Please turn them in to the front office ASAP.
  • Wednesday 9/28 is See You At The Pole, a national day of student prayer. Students will meet at the flagpole at 8:15 tomorrow morning. All are welcome.
  • There will be a SAVE meeting on Wednesday 9/28 from 4-5pm in Room 114. Magnets are welcome to come early.
  • There will be a BPA meeting on Thursday 9/29 during Advisory. This is a meeting for all students interested in joining BPA this year.
  • Thursday, September 29 is the end of the 6 weeks grading period and the first eligibility check for participation in extra curricular activities. 
  • Friday, September 30 is a Professional Development Day for teachers and staff. NO SCHOOL for students.
  • The first Student Council Meeting will be held on Monday 10/3 in Ms. Conway's Art Room 418. See you there!
